Art Knives
Pearl Samurai
An Art Knives series Italian picklock. From my own personal collection, an 11" side opening Italian picklock stiletto. Every piece of this knife has been built by hand, no use of CNC's on my picklocks. Sans guards top bolsters with ends shaped KATANA style. Top bolsters are shaped by hand with a mill file. Bolsters have a 45 degree rake on the ends. Blade is 3/16" thick Japanese ATS-34 steel, hollow ground TANTO blade. Grinds have been mirror finished, flats on blade have been satin finished. Whats rare on this knife is the genuine mother-of-pearl scales. 1/4" thick pearl has nearly become extinct in the knife world. Finding even a "B" grade, which is used for 1911 gun grips is HARD and now costs upwards to $600. I obtained these scales over 10yrs ago and tucked them away for myself on a knife for my own collection. "A" grade 1/4" pearl scales. Button has been inlayed with a blue sapphire gemstone. Liners are Titanium that have been wrapped in filework and blue anodized to match the gemstone button. Spring has been mirror polished and also has wrap around filework both inside and out. Knife is of exceptional quality and beauty. Stainless steel bolsters have been 1200 grit satin rubbed finished. Octagon shaped locktab, .005" bronze washer system between pivot for silky smooth action. Firing torque like no other Italian knife on the PLANET. For the descriminating collector who wants something entirely handmade and well built. Comes with a signed letter of authenticity stating the knife was built and kept in my own personal collection. Includes an exhibition grade spalted maple handmade custom wooden display case built like a tank with heavy brass hardware. As shown: $2900. SOLD
